in honor of going into lots of abandoned places recently, and a random abundance of photos which fit a general theme, here comes a mini series over the weekend. A mixture of Holga and Diana+.

Trichromy

Trichromies... Arista II black and white film... three separate pictures taken with filters to represent the Red, Green, and Blue layers of a normal color photo... RGB... I guess this is how Technicolor worked, black and white film with filters, or so I read. When overlaid in photoshop and screened you get a color image in which anything which has changed or moved becomes a neon ghost of sorts. I want to do more of these in the future, but it can be a tedious process.

even more snapshots from the XA... more spontaneity without technique or thought. The light leak is aggravating sometimes but beautiful at others...

































common sense says no, but the answer's always yes... the floor was sagging and cracked where you enter, having to hoist yourself up onto the ground floor, or venture into the basement... no thanks... a whole roll from my slr and a couple yashicas coming soon.

explored a new and very abandoned/sketchy house today and shot a whole roll there, and have a roll of color slides coming back soon. Here's some more not so exciting snapshots from the Olympus XA.

shot these on a break at work today... doing elementary school class group photos right next to a farm... they're all super dark which is a bummer, obviously a camera fixed at f13 and 125 on an overcast day is not going to be light... but with some photoshop levels they are still cool. Taken on the good old Holga with some burnt saran wrap inside as a nice little texturizer. Also self developed in Rodinal.
