Christmas

Trip...

tried coming home for winter break... finally here...

but i filmed and edited a montage at richland skatepark a while back with nich, ray, and kyle... the guy who made the park or designed it or something wanted it up on their skatepark design website... so a couple weeks later with my permission and a tiny and horridly unwatchable compressed clip later... voila (bottom right)

due to multiple comments about no skateboarding or not blogging involving us going on, I finally brought out the digicam once again and snapped some photos on the fly... nothing's changed, we're still skating a lot, but just no photos recently...

while sitting here painting for hours I browsed animal videos on youtube... there's some crazy animals out there...

The Story Store...

has released number two of their film makers guild series... these are "local" videos from over in europe and other crazy places. They are high quality and equal with if not better than most US local videos, all 3 chip etc. They're only about 7 pounds each, so maybe 10 bucks US dollars, and they are full length videos. Both the first and second issues are so worth the money. DO IT!

Here are the trailers for each one... The first is a much better video than it may seem. and hilarious intros and creative editing.

Rumor has it Ben got a new tattoo... got it while in Oregon for the holiday feast... apparently it's a "camel with an armanian goddess on it".......... rumor also has it that he broke bread and shared stuffing with famed rapper Xibit, and that Ragdoll caveman barefoot back blunted the Eugene 10 rails... Ripley's believe it or not?

tired... so out of it... laughing at this... almost all tapes captured from ben's day in the life 2... so hopefully it will be hosted tuesday...

you can tell by this picture that the day in the life was a longggggggggg one... some fun stuff, a bunchhhh of skating... going to bed at 2am, being woken up at 5:45am, and staying out filming till 1am... death.

Defeated...

there's like 5 gigs left out of 160 on my hard drive... so I did some research and bought a second hard drive... "oh it's easy to install, like 2 plugins..."... so I was confident I could do it myself... opened up my computer... oh, there's the two plugins, got it all plugged in and set in its spot... but wait... the power cable to it doesn't reach... I'll just swap its spot with the other hard drive... oh still doesn't quite reach... well I'll move the disk drive I never use down one slot so that the power cable will reach... ok... phew... finally got it all plugged in right. Put it back on my desk... plugged in all the cables and whatnot... turned on the power... "BEEP BEEP BEEP.........(silence/no response)"

oh crap...

pushed the power button again... the fan in the computer almost instantly revved up to like 3 times the normal speed and this massive cloud of dust came spewing out of the back that I'd stirred up from opening it and moving stuff around... but from where I was standing it looked like smoke pouring out of it!!! "OH CRAP OH CRAP OH CRAP!!!!"... shut it off... laughing horribly nervously when I realized it was dust and not that my computer had burst into flames... and moved everything back where it was originally and thankfull it turned back on with everything in tact and working. I guess I need to consult the Geek Squad... bummer...
